TAKING THE INSIDE TRACK TO LEYTON HOUSE
He is without doubt one of the most influential and extraordinary artists in our industry. Florida based creative Trent Day and brainchild behind the inaugural 2 day F1 Color Workshop event sponsored by Leyton House Professional and Life of Riley Salon Supply.
June 26th to 28th at The Roxy Academy hosted by Trent and Su Bee Courtney, Leyton House brand Manager was hands down the location to be for this colouring and cutting event.
Indulging in their love for education and the Leyton House colour brand Trent’s enthusiasm was perfectly matched with his own unique Geometrix cutting style and meticulous yet creatively executed colouring techniques. Trent is also the gracious co-founder of the JackStoreyFoundation. A non-profit organisation providing financial support to those who need help getting a start in the beauty business by providing a scholarship to a cosmetology school. Jack Storey Foundation will also provide scholarships to support those in the industry that want to further their career with advanced education.
Trent says, ‘Not only will we showcase the latest trends, but also prepare you for future trends. A unique look at current color chemistry and application that will allow you the creative freedom to not only be on trend but be ahead and create your own’.
Saturday June 26 held an evening of networking, meeting like-minded stylists and reigniting old friendships at the AC hotel in Tampa whilst indulging in cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and a delightful introduction by Life of Riley Salon Supply CEO Kelly Huether.
Sunday June 27 guests met at The Roxy Academy in Valrico where Trent Day showcased Leyton House Professional product performance, importance of retail and taught his trademark innovative Geometrix cutting. ‘Technical excellence and brilliance’ said Kelly Huether.
After a full day of training and hands on activities, the overwhelming energy continued throughout the evening with a dinner party cruise where they set sail on the waterways of Tampa Bay and Clearwater afloat the yacht Starship . Guests were welcomed to top quality service, breathtaking views, entertainment, and award-winning cuisine. Nothing but the best!
Monday June 28 saw an early start and back to the academy for in-depth colouring techniques and product knowledge with Su Bee Courtney where some truly magical work was produced. The day began with a welcome message from Marketing Director Mandy Jolly all the way from head office in Australia and into an informative colour theory session with Su Bee.
After a sumptuous lunch came the time in the day where everyone was super excited. Getting hands on the product and doing what hairdressers do best, GETTING CREATIVE!

Trent says ‘Our 2-day academy will dive into color chemistry and current color application such as color melting, balayage, baby lights, base adjusting, toning and personal highlighting. Featuring Geometix dry cutting you will be given all the tools you need to become the stylist you want to be. You will learn how to cut hair; not just do a haircut’.
